    1. This is the novel that brought Katharine of Aragon to life for me. Before I read this, I brushed her and her daughter off as I favored Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth I. I do still like Elizabeth and Anne, but this opened my eyes to see the story through Katharine's eyes.It is true that the winners write the history books, and Katharine and her daughter Mary were the losers, although how much Anne won is debatable.     2. Katherine of Aragon isn't my favorite of Henry VIII's wives by far and so reading books about her can be a task but this one was pretty good. Makes me look forward to the rest of this series even more.
