    1. I love the story. It's a fun, safe adventure. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I had a bit of trouble with the writing style and it seems to me that the word count is a little high for a book geared toward very young children.Overall, I recommend this book. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. **Update:I am upgrading this to 5 stars because my children(3yrs and 6yrs) love it. I'm not 5 anymore, Kathy hit the style on the nose for her targeted audience.

    2. I received this book in a giveaway for my review. It was a cute story about adventure, love and being apart of a family of hamsters. The illustrations were great and the story had a happy ending. I can't wait for my great-niece to read this as I plan to pass it on to her. (She's almost 2 years old and loves books)

Growing up in a large family myself, I can wholeheartedly relate to this little hamster's troubles. She's on a journey to find her [...]

    5. What a lovely children's book! Author Kathy Rogo has created a charming story about a little hamster running away from her numerous family so she wouldn't have to wait her turn every single time. Plenty of siblings in large families will identify with Ethel. The illustrations are simply adorable, although the layout (exchange of text and images) is better in the first half of the book. The writer's narration finds the right balance between simplicity and complexity. The children might appreciate [...]
